I get in the room and it is an EPIC disappointment. He types some buttons and I now get "the last room they have with a King". I tell him that I am having a meeting in his hotel the next morning, I chose the place (only because it was a Marriott), I was facilitating the meeting, needed a good nights sleep, and for crying out loud, as a Premier Platinum I am guaranteed a King size bed and have NEVER had this happen. A double? I talk with them and tell them that I am a Platinum premier - I had over 147 nights last year and typically the hotels see that and take care of the room in advance? The one guy - kinda makes an attempt at a joke says " Yeah we don't really care how many nights you got last year" - I get it, they hear it all the time. The one guy checks and says that they are sold out and can upgrade me - but the room is a double. I don't care, I just need a room with a King. There are 2 guys behind the counter and they have 2 reservations for me. I get there and notice that this hotel is VERY old - it is VERY run down looking. No big deal, the trip was short and it was too cold to wait. After waiting about 10 minutes, I ended up taking a cab. This place is a tremendous letdown… First off it was negative 15 degrees outside and I couldn't get a hold of the hotel to ask about their shuttle.
